This spectacular geranium flowers for several months. It was finally dug up in June the following year of planting. It is a biennial and is grown for one year and flowers the following year. After the magnificent leaves the flowering starts and the leaves fold downwards to support the large flower head. It is not fully hardy, but survived snow under he cover of bubblewrap. It comes from Maderia and is therefore a little drought tolerant. I was disappointed as i did not get any seeds. This year I am trying the G. Palmatum which has similar leaves and is a short lived perennial.
