This Helenium is one of the latest hybrids from the Chelsea flower show 2005. I must say it flowered for a long time and look forward to seeing it again this year. It grew to about 3 feet(1mtr) and did not seem to need staking. It produces dazzling red flowers with random yellow markings that are borne in profusion from July to August on sturdy stalks. The flowers form a disc shape with the petals fanning outwards rather than drooping as they do in most Helenium cultivars.
