I planted this Hebe in next doors garden and get the benifit of it when it flowers. Every year it is cut back hard in order to keep it in shape and size. If it is not cut back it stems gets long and weak and it eventually falls or droops down. By cutting it back every year it keeps its compact shape and because each growing point gives a flower you get more flowers. It does look horrid for a while but it does recover to give this wonderful display.
