This is exotic looking flowering climber is not fully hardy, but here in London it survives the winter and flowers late into the year. It adds interests to the everlasting peas when they are in growth. After the flower it produces many seed pods which scatter many hundreds of seeds when ripe. Mostly it is grown as an annual and can reach 6 feet (2mtrs) in one year.
