Bay trees are one of the toughest plants that survive some very harsh weather and treatments. One reason why shops often have them outside in the city as they seem to tolerate dryness and the dirt of the city. The dried leaves is also one of my most used herbs in cooking meats of all kinds. This one is about to flower in a few weeks.
