These Dahlias are now at the end of their season. They are now ragged and awaiting the frost which will finally knock them down. The tubers along with the bottom part of the stem will survive the frost and re-shoot next year. Professional growers take new cuttings and start new plants off for the next season, but providing the stem and tubers survive both frost and predation by slugs and snails they will provide a great display the next year.
