At this time of the year I allow the Nastursums to run riot as the summer plants start to shut down for the winter. They provide vibrant colours of flowers and leaves to liven up the garden. The leaves also remind me of Lotus leaves. All parts of this plant is also edible and imparts a spicy taste. The flowers can be used to add colour to salads. The seeds can be pickled or eaten raw.
