As you enter the Pond House you are greeted with this display of Vanda orchids. As air plants they are very difficult to grow successfully. According to their keeper they are sprayed twice a day, but not on the leaves. I have been spraying my Vanda on the leaves as it is in the front room which is centrally heated. I kept forgetting to water it every day. I have now rigged up an automatic sprayer from an automatic scent dispenser. It is not perfect, but At least it will get sprayed several times a day on the roots. I have added some weak orchid fertilizer to the water. I am hoping it will flower again soon.
