Frostedtap

Go back to weekly blog

This tap on my sink in the garden is a good example of the power of frost. For the gardener and farmer it is a friend as it breaks up the soil so roots can penetrate it and allow nutrients to flow to the roots. In the mountains the freezing of water breaks up rocks to allow nutrients to leach through into thw rivers and streams and the water table. I did not expect this strong brass tap extention to be damaged by the frost and did not protect it as I did with the water pipes. I must do so for the next winter.
