Acanthus109

Go back to weekly blog

During the Spring and summer this Acanthus is constantly eaten by snails and it is a battle to keep the leaves. he only effective control is to spray the underside of the leaves with Scotts liquid sluggit. This plant is also not fully frost hardy and a heavy frost will damage the leaves, but here it is in a sheltered position near the house. Without predation it looks great specially at this bleak time if the year.
