The Bupa garden has achieved a gold award for its show garden at Chelsea. I thought it had a sense of solidity and the curving paths and raised beds would be of benifit to disabled patients. Designed by Cleve West, The Bupa Garden, which showcases the organisation's promise to celebrate individuality and recognises the needs of those with dementia, achieved the highest seal of approval from show judges. The Bupa Garden highlights how use of soothing as well vibrant, tactile and perfumed plants and materials can be of real benefit to people who are ill. The garden will be transferred to Meadbank Nursing Centre in Battersea after the show comes to an end
