The cobea scandens took a long time to start to grow new shoots and replace the dried leaves of the winter frost. These plants have now been in the same place for about four years. Every spring I get rid of the dried leaves and leave the bare stems. Once they start to regrow they are vigorous. These plants have now reached the top guttering and starting to go along the telephone wires again.
