This year even though the marigolds were still flowering I thought they were past their best and decided to peplace them with something else. I choose winter pansies. I also planted several types of bulbs under them so that when they are past their best the Daffodils,Alliums, Hycinths and Crocus will take over. In the background you can see the nastursums growing rampant. At this time of year they produce great interest when many other things are either past their best or not flowering.
