These plants can be bought as a large plant for about five pounds or you could grow them from leaf or stem cuttings. They are excellent for areas in the garden where there is deep shade. This one is under the Wisteria and between other plants. After a year of growth I re-pot and break the stems to make more plants. The old rhizome then produce more shoots for the next year. Otherwise the plant gets leggy.
