After taking away the original false roof where I kept many plants over the winter as it had rotten away, I found that the wall needed a repointing job urgently before the frost does any more damage to the wall. The pointing was probably the original pointing from when the house was made and was flaking away. If nothing was done the motar would have been blown out by the frost when it comes. Anyway it is now done. I also put down some felt in order that the wood does not rot so easily. All I now have to do is to replace the shelving and other things I had stored up there and all the plants and pots.
