This is a easy plant to grow, but it will not produce new leaves unless it is given bottom heat with plenty of water and feed over the spring. This one lost all its leaves over about four years and I revived it by by soaking it in water in a propagator from winter to spring. Three years ago it produced its first new leaves after such treatment and the following year it produced the second set of leaves. Last year it did not as I did not give it enough heat for long enough. This year with plenty of water and a long period in a propagator providing bottom heat it has produced its largest leaves yet. The unfurling of the leaves is beautiful and fern-like.
