This Helleborus has been in this position for a number of years now and has been split on a couple of occasions. Late last winter it was looking a bit tatty and I cut it down to the ground and it has regrown into this beautiful crown of flowers. Later I will split it and sell some at my Open Day. It is flowering late as where it is it is in deep shade. Normally it would flower around Christmas time, hence its common name Christmas Rose.
