A visitor to my garden bought this plant from me a couple of years ago at one of my charity open days. She did not have much luck with it flowering so she gave it back to me. I was pleased to receive it as I left mine out in that last hard winter we have just had and mine died. I wont make that mistake again. This plant requires acidic soil and as the soil gets more alkaline the flowers start to get more red instead of blue. Still it is a brilliant flowering shrub when in full flower.
