This common perennial is an invasive weed at times. It can grow to about four feet(1.2mtrs) and crowd out other plants, But if kept in check it produces these wonderful light, purple daisy type flowers when very little else is flowering in September and October. It flowers for a long time and seeds itself readily. The fluffy seeds can be on the plant at the same time. I burn the tops after flowering to prevent the seeds blowing away and seeding itself everywhere.
