This vigorous climber easily reaches 6 feet(2mtrs) in my garden and produces plenty of tubers. It is said to have a peppery taste when cooked, but I have not tried it as yet. The tuber is considered to be food crop and an anaphrodisiac in the Andes, reducing sexual desire. Its nickname is said to be Canary Bird Vine. It flowers in October when little is flowering.
