This plant is from New Guinea, Australia region and is said to be hardy down to -5 degrees Centigrade. In order to keep it in shape I will have to prune it like a topiary plant. It flowers for a long period in early summer there are many species and varieties including a yellow variety. The spiky leaved G.Juniperina is best planted where there is not too much traffic or where you want to deter people from passing.
