Fulgens1008

Go back to weekly blog

This Fuchsia fulgens will continue to flower until the frost kills off the leaves leaving the stems which dies also, but the roots survive and start again the following year. This one has been in the same chimney pot for two years now and I nearly chucked it away as I thought it died over the winter. It was only when I was digging in the soil I saw it was alive and about to re-shoot. This year along with the Lantana and the Michaelmas Daisies has kept this area of the front garden looking great despite the cool weather this summer.
