This rooftop garden and is intended for an astronomer. It was designed by Barry Mayled and sponsored by Acorn Gardens, Euroclad, Eurobond, Hopkins Law LLP It has as an ideal position to view the stars and the sky at night. A sliding roof allows the space to be used during inclement weather and the subtle lighting makes it ideal for evening and night time use. Water is collected at roof level, and is used to irrigate the orbit-shaped beds and bottle walls using hydroponic cultivation. The flashing led set in with the Semperviviums plants on one wall would look great at night suggesting the stars we cannot see in London due to the light pollution.
