This red Canna produces flowers continually in a cincinnus manner from the tip of each shoot. It can reach ten feet by the end of the year if it is given plenty of water and feed through the year. The large architectural leaves are now browned with the frost, but I leave them on as they provide protection for the rhizomes below. In areas of heavy frost these Cannas require lots of mulching to protect the rhizomes.
