This Acer has found its spot in the garden. It is north facing and is in shade for most of the day. The mirror behind does provide a little more sun. When I first bought it I wanted it for my front garden post, but the strong sunlight on a south facing wall soon burnt most of the leaves. They are slow growing with one or two flushes of leaves a year. I have now owned this one for three years and in that time it has only grown about 10 to 20 percent.
